Haiti Earthquake Relief Effort

Post your organizations here that are collecting to help the people of Haiti.

If you would like to donate money to help buy needed supplies for Haiti you can click the donate button in the Donations window on the left on my site at TNS-Studios ( click the banner in my SIG). Your money will be used to buy Medical supplies, food, blankets, and other supplies and ship them to the people of Haiti.


If you live in the Rialto, CA area and would like to help the people of Heidi, my church is collecting items to ship to Haiti.

The Truck leaves February 1, 2010 to Ft. Pierce, FL where we will partner with Missionary Flights International who will then fly the supplies to Haiti.

We are collecting:


  • Medical Supplies
    Ace bandages (or anything specifically for wound care)
    Alcohol pads
    Band-Aids
    Betadine wipes and sticks
    Blades - sterile only
    Bulb syringes
    Casting supplies
    Compression stockings
    Dressings - sterile adn non-sterile
    (Coban, Tegaderm, Steri-strip, Surgilast)
    Gauze - any size, but preferably 4" X 4"
    Gloves: all sizes, sterile / non-sterile
    Gowns - (surgical and patient,
    head and shoe covers, goggles, masks)
    IV Serum Needles - butterfly, angio catheter
    IV supplies - tubing in sterile packages only
    Pediatric supplies Scalpels Splints for legs, ankles and arms
    Spinal needles
    Sponges - surgical only (includes X-ray detecable)
    Stub adapter (no loose / single units
    Surgical towels - cloth / paper
    Sutures
    Syringes
    Ta pe - all types
    Thermometers
    Tongue depressors

  • Medications
    Diclofenac - (injection and oral)
    Ibuprofen (Motrin)
    Acetaminophen (Tylenol)
    Multivitamins (children and adult)
    Zantac
    Benadryl
    Hyperten sion medications
    Blood pressure medications
    Cough medications
    Anti- diarrheal
    Antibiotics
    Lid ocaine
    Triple antibiotic ointment (Neosporin)
    Oral rehydration salts

  • Non-Parishable Food
    Baby formula
    Cereal
    Canned food
    Nutritional drinks
    Granola bars
    Peanut butter

  • Toiletries
    Diapers
    Hygiene kits

Drop off times:

Sundays - Thursdays 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Fridays 9 a. m. 12 noon
Saturdays 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

we will be accepting donations until January 31,2010

We have a truck leaving at 11:00 am Saturday 1-31-10 to Florida.

We have had so many donations, I would like to thank everyone that has helped us to do this.

02-01-2010 - Update on the Help Haiti project:

Sorry I couldn't help with this specific initiative.. but I did donate a small amount to the collective help organisations via an online purchase..

Hi,
I also want to be part of that good job in the favor of humanity, but I am not able to donate money but I donate other thing like medication and toiletries good for the victims of haiti.
Could you please tell me the venue where I can donate these things?

Hi and welcome "Data Recovery"...
It's good to know that you would like to help by donating stuff, but I think that you are bit late for this one, because this Haiti earthquake relief project took place in the beginning of February this year.

Maybe it's a good idea to check the date of the last posted reaction, next time you post on a forum. It has no use to post in a thread of which the subject clearly lies in the past. In this case, 6 months ago.
